I have been having a minor emotional breakdown the last few days. I am on Day 43 and still have no signs of AF. I called my ob this morning to be induced. I am so frustrated because the last few cycles I have gotten naturally. I am just getting so frustrated with my body not cooperating. I am so thankful for my friend Amber who has been through far more than I can even imagine and never once has had a negative attitude about it. I am so blessed. She is truly a great friend and she is so strong! In talking with my OB's office, they would like to start Clo.mid/Ovi.dryl in my April cycle. This will mean that we have officially started "fertility treatments." I just would have never imagined being here, but who is? As I said before and I will say again. I am so blessed. I am thankful beyond measure for the blessing it is to have Emily. This situation makes me even more thankful!

Another 40 days gone by

So now it is February and this morning I had a BFN. I have now been on the Metformin for over 3 months. I am planning on calling the OB's office to see if I can start treatments on my next cycle which if it lands as every other month has at 39/40 day cycle should be April 3 unless I get a BFP this next month. I just hope and pray in the next month my body will be able with the help of God conceive without medication. If I do get pregnant in the next 40 days it will be a December baby. Hubby swears that this is bound to happen as it would just be our luck (my husband, daughter and I already have birthdays in December one week apart!) We will see!

First post...little info

I went to see the perientorologist on January 12 after being prompted by my OB. He is basically a high risk doctor who would be treating me when/or if I get pregnant. he went over all the statistics of having the HELP syndrome again and my chances of having toxemia, and the issues that PCOS can have on a pregnancy. It was a good meeting and I felt like I got a lot of info. In my discussion with him he said that with the diagnosis of PCOS I should be able to start on fertility treatments even before 1 year (which is April) I spoke with my OB's office today and she said that NOTHING is covered until April. She said that I could do one unmonitored clomid cycle. The problem with not being monitored is that A. Polysistic ovaries with clomid can have cysts that burst which can be dangerous and B. Clomid unmonitored can give you the risk of multiples. She did say that if I called back say beginning of March they may be able to refer me for an appointment with Dr J. the fertility specialist for April.
